Born and raised in a country called Kuwait in the Middle East, Jasmin had a huge passion for music since a very young age but it wasn't until she went to visit Egypt for the first time at the age of 16 that she came across electronic music for the very first time. She instantly fell in love with and started learning how to DJ soon afterwards. After moving to Leeds in 2008, she quickly started to make her way into the UK underground dance music scene and used to run her own weekly radio show for two years called 'Warm Up Sessions' broadcasting house music around the world.
Jasmin is currently one of the top up and coming female DJ’s on the UK house scene, she was one of the original residents at Flux and a regular guest at one of the best club nights in the UK the infamous Back to Basics. This is where she regularly hosts her own night 'La Femme Fatale'. Over the past few years, Jasmin has played at some of the most respected night clubs in the UK including Flux, Back to Basics, System & Louche, Teknicolor, Mint Festival and Dirty Disco playing alongside household names such as Derrick May, Paul Kalkbrenner, Kerri Chandler, Carl Craig, Derrick Carter, Chez Damier, Marco Carola, Crazy P, Lisa Loud, Maya Jane Coles, Anja Schneider, Laura Jones and many more as well as playing internationally at Space in Ibiza, Click in Amsterdam and various clubs in Greece. Inspired by the original sound of Chicago house from the 90's and modern deep house that has been circulating the UK underground scene, Jasmin has developed her own unique sound blending four-to-the-floor beats with deep bass lines and uplifting vocals. Having proven her skills behind the decks, Jasmin is currently focusing on production and is currently working on her first EP which will be released in 2014 as well as running her own night called 'Housewife' in London.. |
