Landmark
Landmark is a self-taught artist. He escapes predefined schemes and his music mirrors the man: his tracks are always inspired by new ideas and sounds. Landmark is an eclectic character who surfs through different musical genres. If one listens to a track or mix by Landmark is always encountering something unexpected that reveals a new aspect of the DJ, the producer and the man.
"I'm in love with ideas in general, from the right track in a mix to a voice or a sample, from a good penalty to a particular dress. I'm a guy who loves ideas and strives to have the good ideas at the right moment," says Landmark.
One of his first tracks, "Ham Bur Ger", was immediately supported and played by Magda and Richie Hawtin. Then other successful tracks followed: "Noir" reached #1 in the Beatport Minimal Chart and was played by techno duo Pan-Pot; "Senor Miedo", which was remixed by Supernova; "Like This No More" anticipated the growing interest toward Deep House; "Hito", which was remixed by Mike Vale and was selected for the Defected Nikky Beach Miami compilation.
His works are truly supported by Richie Hawtin, Riva Starr, Dubfire, Magda, Pan-Pot, Paco Osuna, Umek, Jamie Jones, Monika Kruse, Claude VonStroke, Roger Sanchez.
In February 2011 Landmark founded THIRTY5 Records and created his own radio show named Thirty5 Sessions. In 2012, he worked on several remixes and released the "Underground Civilization EP". Underground Civilization gives the name to a new radio show airing every Saturday on RTL 102.5 Groove.
The beginning of this new year brings Landmark to Snatch! Records: His new single, "Music In You" - produced with Kres and featuring Frederic Mos, is going to be released on Riva Starr's label. The track is also included in the Defected Miami 2013 compilation mixed by Pirupa.
